Abstract： The water temperature of Gasikule Salt Lake in Qinghai province was retrieved with the multi-
source and multi-temporal thermal infrared remote sensing data ， and an zonal low temperature anomaly
was identified in the east of the salt lake near the dry flat. The forming reason of the low temperature
anomaly was analyzed in geology and hydrology. It was proposed that there may be a fault buried in the deep
of salt lake along the centerline of the zonal temperature anomaly.
